Board Composition, Terms and Qualifications

The Board of Adjustment is a volunteer board consisting of five regular members and two alternates. Members are appointed by City Council, each to four year terms. All members must be qualified electors in Aspen and residents of the City for at least one (1) year prior to appointment.

Overview

In general, the Board hears, reviews and approves or denies variance requests from the dimensional standards of the land use code.
