City Hall to be closed on Feb. 20  

Online services will be available to public

Aspen, CO – Due to the impacts of the Palm Tree Music Festival being held Friday and Saturday at Rio Grande Park, City Hall will be closed to the public on Friday, Feb. 20.  

The city will suspend City Hall in-person services that day, which includes departments such as the clerk’s office, community development, environmental health, and engineering.  

City Hall staff members will be working remotely, and virtual services will remain open. However, walk-up community development services, in-person planner-of-the-day, and in-person builder-of-the-day services at City Hall will not be available.  

Essential services and other city facilities will remain open. City of Aspen contact information is available online at aspen.gov. 

Rio Grande Place is closed to traffic until Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. between the parking lot west of City Hall and the entrance and exit to the parking garage. Traffic control staffing will be in place during all street closure times to notify vehicles entering on North Spring Street and turn them around at the recycling center.  

The public can access the parking garage from the upper ramp on Mill Street or by traveling east on Main Street to Spring Street and then to Rio Grande Place. 

The parking garage will remain open throughout the week. However, the Rio Grande entrance will be exit only during concert times on Friday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, Feb. 21 from 2p.m. to 10 p.m. 

There will be no access to Rio Grande Park until Friday, Feb. 26.  

Additionally, eight parking spaces on the north side of Rio Grande Place will be unavailable until Friday, Feb. 27.
