New Permitting System Update: System Testing and Staff Training Impacts on Available Services

The City is moving ever closer to implementing a new system to manage land use cases, development permits, and code violations. From April 30th until May 18th, staff from all departments responsible for these activities will be involved in user acceptance testing of the system and system training. On May 10th, the Community Development (Planning, Zoning, and Building) and Engineering Departments will be closed. During the rest of this time period, some services may be limited. At present, we anticipate that inspections will be scheduled as usual. We appreciate your patience during this busy time.

One of the new systems’ features is that it provides an online portal for our customers to use to apply for all permits and to obtain information on their status.  Before we go live and for the months following, we will be offering training to our customers on how to work in this new electronic environment.  Over the next several weeks, please look for information about these training sessions.
