The City Celebrates Historic Preservation Month with a Progressive Bike Tour through Aspen on May 31

Aspen, Colo. – May 16, 2022 – May is Historic Preservation Month and in celebration, the City of Aspen will host “Spinning Through Time: A Progressive Bike Tour to Aspen’s Historical Landmarks”. The tour begins at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Wheeler Opera House (320 E. Hyman Avenue, Aspen).
As part of the tour, participants will ride through Aspen to visit some of its most treasured landmarks. Historical experts from the City of Aspen will share information about Aspen’s architectural history and practices that preserve these legacy locations. The tour will end back in Downtown Aspen.
Participants should bring their bike, a helmet, and water. The event is free to attend. Registration is required by May 27, 2022.
Historic Preservation Month provides an opportunity for communities throughout the United States to celebrate the diverse and unique heritage of our communities by promoting historic places and heritage tourism, as well as demonstrate the social and economic benefits of historic preservation.
