Historic Properties
Historic properties are integral to our community as they encompass and maintain our heritage and unique culture. Because of this, the City of Aspen has certain processes and regulations specific to historic properties.

Liquor Licenses
The City Clerk's office processes all types of liquor license transactions. Some applications can be approved by City staff, but transfer of ownership and new licenses are ultimately approved by the Liquor License Authority.

Marijuana Licensing
Both Medical and Retail Marijuana businesses intending to operate within city limits need to be licensed with the City of Aspen and the State of Colorado.

Outdoor Merchandising
If your business would like to place, advertise, and sell products in the public right of way (e.g. sidewalks, pedestrian mall, walkways, etc.) you will need to first obtain an Outdoor Merchandising License from the Community Development department.
