2023 Municipal Election
The Regular Municipal Election is Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
The mayor and two council positions will be available.
Ballots will be mailed out to active registered Aspen voters on February 14th and early voting will begin in the City Clerk's office on February 21st.

To vote in the 2023 Municipal Election, you need to:
- Be 18 years old as of the election day
- Reside within the City of Aspen for twenty-two days immediately preceding the election (as of February 13th)
- Registered in the State’s Voter Registration system (register anytime including on election day at the Pitkin County Clerk & Records office at 530 E. Main Street)
Get Ready! Register to vote or verify your mailing address is correct with the Colorado Secretary of State.
If you will be out of Aspen but within the United States during the election, you can request an absentee ballot be mailed to you. Complete the form below and return it to the City Clerk as specified on the form.
If you will be out of the United States during the election, you can request a special absentee ballot to be delivered electronically to you by completing and returning the form available in the link below.
Nominating Petition Deadline For Mayor and City Council of Aspen
If you are interested in running for one of the above open seats, nominating petitions must be returned to the City Clerk's office before 5:00 p.m. on December 27th, 2022.
